Today the film business is co-promoting with soundtracks. We reached out to our buzzviewers and asked them to tell us their favorite soundtracks.

BV 1: I remember when I first heard the soundtrack for New Jack City. The song by Color Me Badd, I Wanna Sex You Up. I brought the soundtrack for that song but it turned out to be really good and that's how I became a soundtrack purchaser.

BV 2: Spike Lee is the best at putting a good soundtrack together. I love the old Black exploitation soundtracks. Claudine is one of my old time favorite Gladys Knight albums.

BV 3: Soundtracks have opened the doors for new artists and old artists like Missing You on Set It Off. It has given Black recording artists another venue and opportunity.

BV 4: The hottest rap soundtrack in the whole universe is In Too Deep. That is the best gangster, thugged out, lyrical flavored and well-produced album of them all.

BV 5: My favorite soundtrack is Love Jones. It had a host of great artist on the album doing their thing. I can listen to that album all day from beginning to end.

BV 6: I like soundtracks. I think the Bodyguard is what really did it. The industry is trying to repeat that success. What is sad is that there are very few good R & B soundtracks available because all the Black movies are about killing.
